Don’t take chances with knock-off glow plugs that swell, snap off, or cause engine failure. These are genuine Motorcraft ZD-32 glow plugs, made specifically for 2004–2007 6.0L Powerstroke engines with the updated piston design.
In 2004, Ford changed the shape of the combustion chamber. The result? A shorter glow plug was required to prevent contact between the glow plug tip and the piston. Using the wrong (longer) glow plug in a late-build engine can lead to piston impact and catastrophic failure.
Motorcraft ZD-32 glow plugs are 1.2mm shorter than earlier versions, and easily identified by the correct factory crimp design (see image example). Trust the same OEM parts Ford installs from the factory.
