Description
Description
Brand new for the 2025-2026 Duramax L5P platform, the Banks Ram-Air intake is a game-changer. With the 2025 model year Duramax engines, GM added a new sensor into the intake system to monitor Crank Case Ventilation Pressure. To get past this airflow limitation, we engineered a new patented Air Mass Control Module and a Crankcase Ventilation Control Module that allow the intake to go beyond these limitations for truly unmatched airflow performance.
With a Big-Ass filter, huge induction tube and a unique bellowed silicone coupler to allow for engine movement while tapering down to increase air density, your 6.6L engine will breathe easy and cleanly. Its enclosed housing keeps power-robbing heat away and attaches to the OEM hood and front ram-air scoops for even better performance at speed. An extra side inlet opens up to the wheel well for fresh air and a pleasant induction sound.
Why It's Better:
- Only intake that improves mass air flow over stock
- Improves turbo response
- Improves fuel economy
- Massive filter extends service life, fewer cleanings
- Housing keeps out hot air
- Housing increases air volume around filter
- Connects to OEM hood scoop
- Rubber elbow allow for engine movement
- Increased turbo sound, no drone
- Oiled or dry high efficiency filter
- No check engine light
- Includes Banks Air Mass Control Module
- Includes Banks Crankcase Ventilation Control Module

Helps engine produce horsepower at lower RPM
Thanks to a 45% reduction in pressure loss over the stock intake, air mass is increased into the turbo inlet. This denser air makes the turbo's job easier. Turbo lag is reduced and boost comes on sooner, widening the engine's working RPM range.
Not only does power come on sooner with the Ram-Air intake, but the turbo spins nearly 3,000 RPM slower increasing its efficiency and longevity. Turbo life is increased because it’s spinning millions of revolutions less over its lifetime.
Patented Electronics
The ECM (Engine Control Module) in your 2025-26 Duramax monitors air mass and pressure so closely that any deviation from stock results in a check engine light. The truck's ultra-stringent ECM even monitors variations in crankcase ventilation pressure as another trigger for a trouble code. To overcome these new limitations, we employ our patented Banks Air Mass Control Module, which corrects for the increase in mass air flow to the turbo's compressor.
The Banks Crankcase Ventilation Control Module is a patented electronic device designed to work with the Banks Air Mass Control Module. Developed in-house and manufactured locally, the Crankcase Ventilation Control Module allows for modifications to the intake system without triggering diagnostic trouble codes like P04DB (Crankcase Vent System Disconnected) or related check engine lights and reduced engine power modes that plague other aftermarket intakes systems.
Late-model 2025+ Duramax trucks feature ultra-stringent ECM oversight of crankcase pressure, ventilation flow, and blow-by gases via integrated sensors in the CCV system. Any non-stock alteration—like rerouting for better oil separation, increased ventilation capacity to handle higher boost/performance, or integration with high-flow intakes—risks the ECM detecting "out-of-range" pressure or flow deviations. These deviations result in a check engine light to protect emissions compliance.

Massive Airflow
In other words, all other competitive intakes must flow within a narrow airflow window near stock levels past the Mass Air Flow sensor, whereas these stock airflow design constraints do not limit us.
Unrivaled Size and Capacity
The all-new Ram-Air cold air intake system's large organic shape eliminates all restrictions and turbulence to the turbo. The radical new design allows for a massive 58% gain in Mass Air Flow over the stock system. The oversized filter has greater dust capacity giving you more miles between services and flows freely long after stock and competitors are clogged with debris. The huge filter outlet smoothly tapers down providing the highest gains in air density.
