Heat is one of the biggest enemies of transmission life. The Banks Ram-Air™ Transmission Pan is engineered specifically for 2020–2026 Chevy and GMC HD trucks with the 6.6L Duramax and Allison 10L1000 transmission to increase fluid capacity, improve heat rejection, and promote better transmission fluid circulation.

Unlike a conventional deep transmission pan that simply adds fluid capacity, the patented Banks design uses a forward-facing Ram-Air scoop to force cool ambient air across its external cooling fins while driving.

Breakaway Ram-Air Scoop
The forward-facing scoop channels cool air directly through the pan's cooling fins. Because the scoop is the lowest portion of the assembly, Banks designed it as a sacrificial breakaway component to help prevent an impact from damaging the transmission pan itself.

Easier Transmission Service
Banks also incorporated several service-friendly features directly into the pan:
- OE-style fluid level check plug
- 90-degree fill/check location helps reduce fluid spillage
- Face-sealing stainless steel Banks plug
- 1/8" NPT port for an optional transmission temperature sensor
- Internal design promotes full fluid drainage during servicing
