Replace your failing coolant control valve with this MotoRad 1320-000 Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve, designed for 2020–2022 LM2 3.0L Duramax diesel trucks and 2021–2024 GM SUVs equipped with the LM2 Duramax.
The LM2 Duramax utilizes an advanced Active Thermal Management (ATM) cooling system that precisely controls coolant flow for improved fuel economy, emissions, engine warm-up, and overall performance.
This valve is a critical component of that system and combines both a rotary control valve and block control valve to independently regulate coolant flow throughout the engine and cooling system.
The ATM system uses this valve to manage coolant flow to the turbocharger, EGR system, engine oil cooler, heater core, engine block, & cylinder head. This split-cooling design helps eliminate the need for a traditional thermostat while improving engine efficiency and warm-up times.
